If you make a comfortable living, food is something that just happens every day without much worry. However, food isn’t a constant for everyone.
For many in the Dominican Republic, poverty puts regular, nourishing meals out of reach. However, things don’t have to be this way. Support the work our Dominican anti-hunger nonprofit does to save lives.
Why We Help
Approximately 40 percent of the population of the Dominican Republic lives in poverty, which makes getting regular meals, varied diets, and full nutrition difficult. Additionally, up to 61 percent of children aged 6 to 11 months have anemia, or iron deficiency, which leads to loss of energy, developmental delays, and behavioral problems.
So much human suffering can be avoided with the proper resources. The Last Hope Foundation strives to close the gap between the people who have enough and the people who don’t by feeding the hungry, offering clean water, providing school supplies, and giving basic healthcare.
We provide the essentials that every person needs to survive. When you donate to our Dominican anti-hunger nonprofit, your money goes to keeping people in need alive.
Who We Are
Ramon de Leon founded the Last Hope Foundation in 2018. Ramon is native to the Dominican Republic’s region, and he has devoted many years to helping his fellows. However, he knew that he couldn’t do it alone — now we need your help.
We hope that you’ll take the time to learn about the daily lives of our fellow people in the Dominican Republic, and we hope that you’ll consider making a donation to help us help them. We are a registered nonprofit, so your donation will be tax-deductible.
